A 460-mile Bikepacking Race through the Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming

Much like the CTR, the AZT, and the Tour Divide, the Black Hills Expedition is a self-supported, self-timed ITT (Individual Time Trial) bikepacking race. We provide a route description and GPX file, a suggested start time, and a list of results. There is no registration, no entry fee, and no support.

Introducing the Tower 300

New for 2024, this route will start at the same time as the Black Hills Expedition. The Tower 300 will take you into the South Dakota Black Hills before it heads into the Bearlodge Mountains by Sundance Wyoming. Next it will take you to Devils Tower, back into the Bearlodge Mountains, and end with some sweet singletrack to get you back into Spearfish.

Route gpx and notes should be ready by the first day of summer.
